Have you ever tried to start a new morning routine before? Most likely you have resorted to look for ideas online, after all, where else can you find an inspiration. If you’re anything like me, you’ve probably realized quite quickly that internet is overflowing with ideas, and each one of those ideas are “amazing” and “all you have to do is to follow these simple steps for just 30 days and you’ll feel like a new person”. In reality, not everything is that easy. The only true morning routine that will make you feel good is the one that makes you feel good. I know, sounds cliche. For some running for an hour is the best way to start a day, while others prefer to read a crisp newspaper with a cup of hot espresso.

I’m not saying you shouldn’t try things out, but you have to remember that each person has different lifestyle, different needs, or even different circadian rhythms. So while you are trying to adopt a new routine you’ve heard or read about, don’t beat yourself up if it doesn’t work specifically for you. Also, adapting something to make it work for you is not cheating. You are the only one who is going to set a goalpost and the only one who is responsible for its achievement.
